In a career filled with accomplishments, Ben Hogan truly had a banner year in 1953. Hogan won five of the six tournaments he entered, including three major championships - the Masters, the U.S. Open and the British Open. Hogan was unable to compete in the 1953 PGA Championship as the British Open dates overlapped the PGA Championship dates. Hogan's feat, known as the Triple Crown of Golf still stands among the greatest single seasons in the history of professional golf.

This commemorative ball marker contains a 1953 farthing which was the year Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne after the death of her father, King George VI. On the flip side of the ball marker we have one of our favorite Hogan quotes: "The most important shot in golf is the next one"

Each ball marker measures 1.5" and comes in a protective, drawstring pouch.
